History of NAHU
The National Association began in 1930 just a few years following the first recorded plan of modern day group medical expense coverage of 1921. The original medical plan began when a hospital in Grinnell, Iowa offered hospital care on a prepaid basis to subscribers. Baylor University Hospital followed with a similar plan for the University faculty in 1929. Read the full story written by Wallace L. Clapp and Jim Henderson.

History of OSAHU
OSAHU filed the Articles of Incorporation on October 21, 1985. The three incorporator's were Charles Potts, Frederick Orth and Robert Phillips. The Board of Directors consisted of: Kim Holland, Danita Watkins, Patricia Beck, Richard Carllson and Matt Dillon.
