Important Message from Golf Chair

WE NEED YOU!!!!!

The Oklahoma STATE Association of Health Underwriters is looking for Hole Sponsors, Prize Sponsors, Teams and Players for this years Annual Golf Tournament.

THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT!!!   Why you ask…

For the first time in a very long time, both local associations, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, will NOT be hosting their own separate golf tournaments.  I think everyone can figure out why, BUDGETS!   We all have limited funds to spend towards advertising and special events such as this, so we all took a vote and decided to consolidate the golf tournament into one annual event.   This is great for you, our corporate sponsors and insurance carriers, because you are NOT going to be hit up this year three (3) different times, JUST ONCE!

WE NEED SPONSORS.  We need to make sure we have 18 hole sponsors, we need two long drive sponsors, we need two closest to the pin sponsors, we need a putting contest sponsor and we need food sponsors (Assurant Health has already grabbed the first sponsorship – go Joe Brining!).   Then we need lots of people to get teams together.  Come out and have fun, bring your clients, play with your favorite broker, play with your favorite company rep.   Just come out and play.

This year, the tournament will be held at the same place it has been for the last couple of years, Cimarron Trials located in Perkins, OK.  We will have the food catered and have a cookout on the patio so the food will be nice, hot and fresh.  We will begin alternating this ANNUAL STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT between a Tulsa location and an Oklahoma City location so we can find different facilities to play at in the years to come.  Unfortunately there are not many, if any clubs, that fall in between Tulsa and Oklahoma City that would be acceptable.  So in an effort to make it fair for all, alternating locations is our solution.

Please open and print the attached Golf signup sheet.  Mail it to the address at the bottom.  SPONSORS, this will be first come first serve, on prizes or hole sponsors, so please get your information submitted to me just as quickly as you can.  If you are picking a prize sponsor, please be sure to indicate which prize you wish to sponsor.   Also please remember we must have gift prizes, goody bags, and lots of fun stuff to give away.  Let’s make this an annual event that all 400 health underwriters want to attend!

I’ll also need helpers so please let me know if you can help in any way (sign-up, raffles, beer carts, photographer, etc).
